You might have been looking for the website of Oxford Leaders Ltd. The company is based in Oxford and some details are given at the bottom of this page. However, at the time of writing we are not taking any new clients. For more information about the company and its future plans, please use this site’s contact page to send me your request.
Meanwhile I continue to mentor leaders and advise charity boards in my own name. All my work comes by personal recommendation, and hence this little website. If you get in touch we will have a conversation and you can decide what to do next.
Meanwhile here is a short reflection on the leadership challenges for 2025:
Some things have not changed
- the joy of leading an organisation that really does add value to civil society and international development
- the basic, generic principles of leadership and teamwork
- the need to learn and grow while actually on the job
- the global humanitarian need has not improved, and in some areas is worse than ever
- excellent resources for the public, eg: www.howcharitieswork.com.
Some things are new
- conflict and economic pressures have revealed the strengths, and especially the weaknesses, of our current leaders
- there is a new hunger for honesty, courage and integrity in leadership
- people mistake power, position, force or even bullying for leadership
- there are some very innovative working practices since Covid is drifting into history
- long term charity funding remains a challenge
- UK charities are re-focusing and greatly increasing their professionalism
- there is a vast array of publications on the theme of leadership
- people are becoming tired of screen time and training conferences
…so this is a good time to reassess our own leadership skills and paradigms!
